Within minutes one finds Tidepools loaded up with Sea Urchins, Starfish, Sand Dollars & Agates and Old Growth Forests featuring Bald Eagles, Roosevelt Elk and other wild critters too numerous to enumerate. As the result of so many encounters with nature's wondrous critters, I know my life has been enriched beyond my wildest expectations. We're pretty sure we've discovered the center of the universe! Sometimes when we plan VACATIONS, we'll explore the beach, which is actually our back yard, or the forest... WE"RE HERE! The novelty of this place just doesn't seem to wear off; the vistas change daily and we're never bored with what we experience on our treks! I was born in San Antonio; migrated west in '62; spent my "wonder bread years" attending Jr. High through College in San Francisco. Having travelled internationally, I landed in Lincoln County via Lahaina in '91. Here’s a little about me personally (so you know who your working with.) My road that lead me to life on the beach with my wife Emily and two young boys (Tommy and Bruce) was a little less than traditional. I grew up in Alaska with all the bear stories and grand adventures a kid could ever hope for. That lead to a career as a wildland firefighter on a USFS Hotshot crew based out of Eastern Oregon. Which just so happened to be where I met my wife, side by side digging fire line. We decided to “settle down” which for us was moving back to Alaska to start a guided fishing business on the Kenai Peninsula. After a number of years making my office my seat behind the wheel of a guide boat we were compelled to start over in Portland Oregon to raise our kids close to their mom’s family. But as it turned out city life just did not stick for us and we were drawn to the shores of the Oregon Coast where we now call home. Our family’s adventurous spirit lives on today through our love of surfing, backpacking along the coastal trails, and in my newly found passion of ultra marathons. I’m currently training for my 2nd 100 mile ultra marathon and can usually be found on the trails of Cape Perpetua when not busy helping clients buy and sell homes on the Central Oregon Coast.

Ed was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Upon graduating from High School moved to North Carolina and shortly after joined the U.S. Air Force. While stationed at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada he graduated from UNLV. He had then the opportunity to become a member of the F-111 CAT-III test team and was then stationed at Upper Heyford RAF, England and become a member of the an elite reconnaissance group.
Ed entered the Real Estate Market in the early 80's as a Commercial Agent with Realty Holdings Group in Las Vegas, NV and within a short time he became the Owner/Broker of Commercial Leasing Group, dba Haendel & Associates.
With much dedication Haendel & Associates became the largest Commercial Real Estate firm in Las Vegas which dominated the Commercial Real Estate market during the 80s and 90s.
