Located on the Central Oregon coast, Depoe Bay has become famous for its Spouting Horn, an experience that must be seen to be appreciated. Charter fishing, fishing boats, and whale watching are all popular pastimes in this coastal town. Shopping is also a favorite, and there are a number of unique shops offering products created in Oregon. Another must-see is Cape Foulweather, named in 1778  by the famous explorer, James Cook, based on the weather that greeted him on arrival.  It is just south of Depoe Bay, and best explored at the Otter Crest Scenic Viewpoint.
